16 year-old arraigned in Family Court after shooting incident

vlcsnap-2013-05-20-20h47m50s53The 16-year-old boy who was shot by police during last week’s shooting incident on Flamboyant Street was arraigned in the Belize Family Court this evening.   It was believed that two rivalry gang members were at war and they were shooting at each other when police intervened and shot one the 16 year old. But by that time, the 16 year old had already shot the other man a number of times. Today, that 16 year old who police shot in the arm was slapped with one count of kept firearm without a gun license. The minor was unrepresented and  pleaded not guilty to the charge. Due to the nature of the offense, he was remanded into custody at the Booth Camp located at the Wagner’s Facility in Hattieville until his next court date set for June 28, 2013.
