New Horizons gives U.S., Canadian and Belizean personnel an opportunity to train jointly in an exercise setting, in order to be prepared to meet future challenges when and where needed. The group also aids in the construction of structures such as classrooms and provides medical and dental treatment as well. They have been traveling all over Belize conducting these medical services for some time now. Currently, they are in Punta Gorda, conducting dental care. Clinic dates are from April 22 to 27 and April 29 to May 2 from 8am to 4pm at the PG Hospital. Comprehensive dental services such as extractions, endodontics, fillings, cleanings and root canals will be available free to anyone needing treatment. Also, in Belmopan, the team will be providing free hearing tests at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan from April 22 to May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Persons who experience ringing or pain in the ears, difficulty hearing, or drainage from the ears, are encouraged to visit the clinic. Depending on the symptoms, persons may be eligible for free hearing aids or a surgical procedure.
