Lobster season closes in mid-February

The Belize Fisheries Department is advising the general public that in accordance to the Fisheries Act, the closing season for lobster fishery starts from February 15th to June 14th. That means, no person should be buying or selling any Spiny lobster during that period. In addition, the Department reminds all those person(s) who have lobster traps in the waters of Belize, to remove their lobster traps from the seabed.
