Richard Allen Eli…  He is the 52 year old American national that was arraigned in court mid January on two criminal offenses, one count of possession of a controlled drug and one count of possession of a pipe. In that court case, Eli pleaded guilty to both charges and told the court that,” I was a bad boy.”   and told the magistrate that, “I will deserve whatever you give me and jokingly asked the magistrate not to tell his mom about it. Well Eli was taken to court on Friday afternoon for a second time after he was found in possession of a controlled drug. According to San Pedro police, Eli was searched in San Pedro Town by a police constable on patrol. When the officer searched a black bag in his possession, he found 2 plastic containers with 6.1 grams of marijuana inside. As a result, Eli was arrested and charged for the offence of possession. He pleaded guilty to the charges. For the magistrate's consideration, he told the court that officers attempted to extort him for $1,000 in exchange for the charge to go away. He also told Magistrate Stuart that he has plans to leave Belize as soon as possible. As a result, Magistrate Stuart sentenced him to pay $300 forthwith, or in default 3 months imprisonment. He was able to pay the fine. In his first instance Eli was busted with 5 grams of Cannabis and a pipe at the Phillip Goldson International Airport. For that first charge, he was fined $350 and $600 for the pipe, which he was also able to pay also.
