Police investigating house fire in the south
In news from the South, Yesterday, February 7 at about 4:10am, acting upon information received Punta Gorda Town Police visited a scene on Cerro Road, and upon arrival they saw a house totally engulfed in flames. Investigations revealed that a few minutes earlier at about 4:00am, the owner of the house, Edzel Lopez, was asleep in his house when he was awaken by loud barking of his dogs and crackling sound coming from outside. He immediately got up and saw his business thatch house engulfed in flames. The house and its contents were totally destroyed by fire. The house was not insured and valued at $7,000.00bcy. No was injured and the cause of the fire is uncertain. Fire personnel and Police investigation continues.
