Body found in Rio Hondo River

In news from Orange Walk, Yesterday at 9:30am, acting upon information received, Police visited Rio Hondo River in Blue Creek Village, Orange Walk District, where they discovered the seemingly lifeless body of Eduardo Ovistan Garcia, 58yrs, Belizean laborer of Guinea Grass Village dressed in black shirt and long black pants floating in the river face down. The body was retrieved from the water and a physical check on the body revealed no signs of injuries. Investigation reveals that Garcia was last seen at 6:30pm on Sunday 5th February 2012 at the banks of the river apparently under the influence of alcohol. Garcia was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital where the body was pronounced dead on arrival. Many people living in Orange Walk have known Garcia as “Mad house”. He was constantly seen around the Town selling pepitos among other things. . Eduardo “Mad house” Garcia leaves behind two children.
