Hit and run accident claims man's life
A hit and run accident has claimed the life of 30 year old Isaias Castillo, a resident of Concepcion Village in the Corozal District. Shortly after 8pm on Monday night Castillo was standing on the left hand side of the highway when the driver of a bus lost control and knocked him down. Instead of stopping to render aid the driver of the bus, who has not been identified by police, fled the scene. Reports are that the Bus allegedly belongs to Tillett’s, but was rented by another bus company at the time of the incident. The bus was travelling towards Orange Walk Town with no passengers onboard at the time of the accident. We understand that Corozal Police has not been able to identify the driver of the bus but they have detained someone for questioning.
