Persons charged for attempted robbery of tacos vendor
Three persons were arraigned in court yesterday for allegedly trying to rob a tacos vendor. Those persons are 18 year-old Clifford Lorenzo, 20 year-old Stanley Moore, and 18 year old Adam Joseph. According the GSU, they responded to a robbery in progress on Partridge Street and noticed 3 men fleeing the scene. GSU pursued the men who ran into a house. The men were all captured and when officers searched the yard of the house that the men ran into, they found a .25 pistol in the yard, which they believe was used to commit the robbery. They also found 4 grams of cannabis on Joseph. All three were charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm while the Joseph was charged with possession of a controlled drug. No one was charged with the robbery of the tacos vendor yesterday. All three were remanded to Belize Central Prison until their next court date which is set for March 16. The tacos vendor told police that while she was selling tacos on the corner of Elston Kerr and Western Highway, she was approached by two male persons of dark complexion. One of the males grabbed her from behind and placed a handgun to her temple, while the other took her apron which had $20.00bcy in it. Today, police say they have charged jointly charged Stanley Moore and Adam Joseph for the crime of Robbery.
