31 year old found dead in police holding cell
An investigation is ongoing in San Pedro after 31 year old Miguel Martinez was found dead inside the holding ell of the San Pedro police station. According to police reports, At 5:00 a.m today, San Pedro Police were called out to a nearby resort where they Martinez detained by the security guards of that resort. The guards reportedly detained Martinez after was behaving disorderly on the premises. Martinez was reportedly wielding a machete. Police then took Martinez to the station where he was placed in a cell . The report continued by stating that Martinez began making a lot of noise in the cell. When he quieted down later, police went to check on him where he was found motionless. The doctor was called in and pronounced him dead at approximately 8:00 am today. According to other reports we received, there has been no physical signs of violence on the body. The body was sent for a post mortem examination while cell mates are being interviewed. Family members are baffled, saying that Martinez was not known to have any illness. Police say they are awating the outcome of the post mortem examination as investigations continue.
