A Call To Worship this weekend in Belize City

“A Call To Worship” is a large gathering of corporate praise and worship. It is a time when people across denominations unite with one purpose – to experience God. And this weekend, they assemble in Belize City. Althea Garbutt is one of the coordinators of the event.

A lot of Christians fall away.  I find A Call To Worship is an area whereby even the backsliders, people who were once walking with the Lord and have gone away, come.  After that they feel encouraged, they feel revived.  They remember what it is to walk with the Lord, and they come back to God.  Some of them come, some stay, and they struggle again through the year. [They say] “Hey, another Call To Worship coming.  Man, I’ve got to get there.” I have seen that.  It’s a life-support for some people.

After some delay, the service is now scheduled for Saturday at the Princess Hotel. But as Clifford Garbutt told our Rise and Shine hosts, the team is confident that the delay was all strategically a part of God’s plan to have the date align with the UNIBAM court case, as well as other issues taking place throughout the country.

Clifford Garbutt:
vlcsnap-2013-04-25-20h29m38s149God is a strategic God. God is not only a God of love, He’s a God of war.  The timing of Call To Worship is strategic.  It’s not just the court case.  It doesn’t matter the amount of lawyers the other side have lined up.  We’re talking about the King of all kings, the Judge of all judges, being present, being on our side, and not onlt from the Spiritual standpoint, but He’s concerned about Belize.  So there is a change happening in the atmosphere even now, even as we speak, concerning the issues, concerning the hearts of believers pertaining to the issues.  There is a change that is happening.

Doors open at 7:00pm, again at the Princess Hotel, Kings Room.
