A Detective Constable Detained by his Very Own

Belize police CapThe Belize Police Department has another case of alleged unlawful behaviour of Police Officers.

In the Stann Creek District, a Detective Constable attached to the Special Branch office at the Intermediate Southern Formation has been detained by his very own after he allegedly pulled his service firearm at civilians in Red Bank over the weekend.

According to reports the alleged incident occurred at a football competition held on Sunday, May 25th in the village of Red Bank.

Reports are that the officer, who’s name cannot be revealed at this moment, is at the Police Station in Independence Village, as his superiors await directives from the office of the Commissioner of Police in Belmopan. The officer in question is said to have been in service for over 6 years.
