Press Release – Revised Gender Policy 2013.
We the congregation of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Belmopan, categorically state our disappointment in the manner and process in which the Revised Gender Policy 2013 was developed, approved and presented.
We further state that the process appears to be inherently flawed as the church was omitted from the consultation process.
Some of the content goes against the core of the principles upheld by the church as an institution within Belizean society.
It has come to our attention that certain words of the Policy have been retracted; however, we crave that the Policy be recalled, revised, and that the church be involved in the consultation process so that the document can be properly informed as to the church’s view and that it will be a document that is crafted in a consultative manner.
Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.
