Over the weekend, a traffic accident claimed the life of Rosendo Teck as he was travelling on his motorcycle. On Saturday the 25th of June, Teck was travelling on the George Price Highway when he tried to overtake a bus, but collided head first with a Ford Escape and was flung off his motorcycle, dying on the spot. Officer Commanding San Ignacio Police, Richard Rosado tells us more:

“On Saturday 26th of June information was received that an accident occurred near Rumors Resort on the George Price Highway between mile 68 and 69. Upon arrival, a Hispanic male was seen motionless laying face up in the middle of the highway. About 50 yards away a Ford Escape was seen on the right hand side of the road extensively damaged and a red and black motorcycle pinned under the front portion of the Ford Escape. Initial investigation revealed that the Black Ford Escape was driven by Kimberly Satter, 21 years, of San Ignacio. She was traveling to Benque Viejo Town along with one other passenger. At the same tima a bus was travelling in the same direction to San Ignacio Town when suddenly a male person, who was traveling in the same direction as the bus on a motorcycle, overtook the bus and collided head on with the Ford Escape. He flung from the motorcycle and landed on the Highway. The scene was processed and the body of Rosendo Teck was taken to the San Ignacio Hospital Morgue awaiting a postmortem. Mrs. Satter was issued with a notice of intended prosecution and blood specimen was taken from her.”
The body is at the KHMH where it is awaiting a post mortem examination.
