All Gay men should take antiretroviral says WHO

Men who have sex with men, whether they consider themselves healthy or not, are now being advised by the World Health Organization to take antiretroviral drugs. That is because HIV infection rates among gay men are exploding around the world, even in those places considered as more “open minded”  and less “discriminating” of the homosexual behavior. The World Health Organization (WHO) is now urging all sexually active gay men, across the globe,  to take the drug in an attempt to reduce the spread of HIV since the HIV rate remains at a high rate in this group, across the globe. The organisation says the move may help prevent a million new HIV infections over 10 years, possibly leading to a 25% reduction in new cases across the globe.
