Another UB Bomb threat; nothing found as usual

School activities at the University of Belize in Belmopan came to a halt when some minutes before 10 on Thursday morning someone called in to the school with a bomb threat, which is not unheard of at the University as there have been numerous bomb threats in the past, often closer towards the end of the semester when grades are at stake. And even though each and every time, after conducting a thorough search of the area, authorities come out empty handed, protocol dictates that they take all threats seriously.

In the meantime, students waited outside campus to board the next bus back home as some of them are from out district,; others waited to see if the bomb squad would clear the area by midday and perhaps return to have their classes. But by 1:30 the K-9 unit was still scouting the area and as a result all classes were cancelled. Nothing was found.
