Armed, camouflaged men rob Corozal family of vehicle

49-year-old Amelia Correa of San Joaquin Village, Corozal District, reported that on February 27 she was returning from Ramonal Village, Mexico, with her husband Rudolfo and  another man. When they arrived at Patchakan Village near the creek, they were approached by a red Toyota pickup which had in seven men dressed in camouflage suits.

One of the men had a gun and the other six had machetes. They were ordered to move away from the vehicle and get on the ground. While on the ground,  they were searched and the armed men took away Amelia’s Samsung Cellphone valued at $350.00 and $80.00 in cash. Some of them then got in her red pick-up valued at $2,500.00 and drove off.

Police are investigating.
