A business woman and her customer were held up in her store at gun point. 43-year-old Saida Ventura reported that at about 9:35 a.m. on Friday the 19th of February she was inside her business place – “Esmeralda’s Used Clothing” in Belize City attending to a male customer when a dark complexioned male person confronted them with a firearm demanding everything they had. Ventura and her customer refused to hand over their possession and as a result the culprit imprisoned them in her warehouse and threatened to shoot them if they came out. Minutes later, Ventura noticed that the assailant was no longer inside the business and discovered that the assailant stole electronic items and $200.00 from the cash box; all to a total value of $770.00. Police are investigating.
