Attempted arson of Santa Elena Tortilla factory

Has the corn tortilla market become explosively competitive? That is one angle being looked at as there was an attempted  arson of a Tortilla factory in Santa Elena Town on Wednesday morning. According to reports, sometime around 4 a.m. on Wednesdy May 30th, someone threw accelerant on the steps of the newly established mill in Santa Elena Town. The object thrown was a bottle full of kerosene with a wick attached. The entire event was caught on surveillance camera and police are looking for two men. Rony’s Tortilla is originally from Orange Walk Town and they had only recently opened the new branch in Santa Elena Town. They also have  abranch in Belmopan. Police are investigating.
