A Belizean BDF is tonight recovering in a Barbados hospital after he was stabbed in the chest and left critically wounded. According to a report in the Jamaican Observer, 41 year old Andre Gabb, who is attached to the Caribbean Defense Pact in Barbados and assigned to the Regional Security System, was with two persons when he was stabbed in the chest on Friday night. Gabb was reportedly breaking up a fight when one of the persons stabbed him in the chest with a broken bottle, piercing his heart. Gabb has since undergone surgery and was in a coma and on a ventilator system. On Sunday, he was taken off the ventilator system and is said to be breathing on his own and responding. Meanwhile, a Barbados news outlet is reporting that Police have charged one person for the incident. 25 year old Jabarie Kemar King has been charged for the offense of serious bodily harm.
