Belize City man protecting his daughter, chopped to the head

42-year-old Oscar Williams, a Wood Carver of Belize City, was admitted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in an unconscious state with apparent cut wounds behind his head.

Police say that on Saturday February 28  at about 3:30p.m., Oscar Williams was walking on Southern Foreshore along with his 13-year-old daughter. Upon reaching in front of an abandoned concrete building, men unknown to them, who were standing in front of the building, started to shout obscene remarks at his daughter. Oscar Williams approached the six men to tell them to leave his daughter alone, but the men jumped Williams and beat him to an unconscious state.

Police are seeking the men.
