Belize City resident charged with drug trafficking

A Belize City resident was found with 65g of Cannabis. Today, the 3rd December, members of the North Side Strike team were conducting mobile patrols on Pitts Alley, when their attention was drawn to Albert Ford, who at the time was holding a plastic bag. When the Ford saw the police, he threw away the black plastic bag and ran into a yard. After he had been caught, he was escorted to the area where the bag was thrown. The bag contained (10) small transparent plastic bags which amounted to 65 grams. Albert Ford was formally arrested and charged for “Drug Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Drug. Another search that was done today in Belize City led to the discovery of 32.7 grams of Cannabis. 34-year-old Eckert Williams and 22-year-old and 22-year-old Ashley Mariano, both of same address, were charged jointly for the offence of possession of controlled drugs.
