Belizean/American is Charged for Murder of His Son-in-law in Florida

Fifty-seven-year-old Elvis Tillett , originally from Crooked Tree Village, was arrested in Osceola County, Florida for the murder of his son-in-law, Marquise Ephron.  Reports are that  Tillett and his twenty-nine-year-old son-in-law got into an argument on Sunday afternoon at a residence in Poinciana.  Tillet’s daughter and her husband apparently were estranged and Tillet had forbidden that Ephron go to his home. However, Ephron still went to the house to see his child and that is when the two men gotinto an argument. Somehow, Tillett ended up grabbing a rifle and shooting Ephrom in the driveway. Reports are that Tillett was subsequently taken into custody and but refused to cooperate with the vlcsnap-2016-06-14-10h10m34s318investigation. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.  Tillett left Belize for the United States almost forty years ago.
