Belize’s Female U-20 National Selection departs for Comayagua

vlcsnap-2013-08-21-13h27m17s156Tuesday afternoon Belize’s Female U-20 National Selection departed for Comayagua, Honduras to represent the Jewel at the  UNCAF U-20 Women’s Central American Qualifier which will be held in Honduras from August 21-25, 2013. The Lady Jaguars are seeking qualification to the CONCACAF tournament to be held next January in the Cayman Islands. Team captain Beatrice Alfaro of Santa Elena Town, Cayo, tells us why she is confident that she and her teammates will deliver on the pitch.

Well I am confident in my team that they will perform to the best of their abilities so I am confident with my players. I’ll always keep hopes and boost them up.


Naomi Gamboa of Dangriga is one of the team’s forwards and strikers. She says she can’t wait to score for Belize.

Goalkeeper’s Marianne Drysdale’s job is stop Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, in that order, from scoring on us. She says she is ready for the challenge.
