Belmopan enforcing crime prevention measures

The Belmopan Police Department will be enforcing several crime preventative measures within the capital city and surrounding villages. Today, Plus News was informed by O.C of Belmopan, Superintendent Harry Jemotth, that effective today, the Belmopan Police Department will be cracking down on loitering, public drinking and possession of a machete or a dagger. According to Superintendent Jemmoth, anyone carrying a machete or a dagger after 6 p.m. will be detained and charged and the machetes or daggers will be confiscated by the police. Jemmoth urges the general public to abide by the laws of the city.
