Bomb Threat Cuts Cane Farmers Meeting Short

One last piece of news from the cane farmers’ meeting which was held at the Biltmore Plaza. It appears to have been disrupted by news of a bomb threat called into the hotel. Police arrived and orders were given to evacuate the building. We get more from Alfredo Ortega.

“I really don’t know if it was told to the Prime Minister and he passed on the message to us and he told us we need to evacuate the place because of the bomb threat”.

Reporter:  “And the fact that you notice no one else was evacuated?”

Mr. Alfredo Ortega:  “Well, it’s very funny because they said each and everyone had to evacuate at the time”.

The threat appears to have been a hoax.
