Bulgarian National accused of  Credit Card theft gets bail

A Bulgarian National who has been accused of Credit Card theft from a Caye Caulker resident, was granted bail today. Despite arguments that 41 year old Vasil Stoyanov Kadalov is a flight risk since he has no ties to Belize, Supreme Court Judge Colin Williams granted bail to the foreigner in sum of $7,500. That was three days ago and Kadalov finally made bail today as he had to pay in cash.   The money had to be send via western union to Belize but he posted bail late this evening at around 3:30. Kadalov was first arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford and read two counts of theft from Caye Caulker resident Donald Stuart in the sum of $2,000.  Attorney Ronell Gonzalez was able to provide the court with a statement from the virtual complainant in which he said he has already received his money stolen through his Credit Card insurance.  Kadalov’s next court date is set for June 6th,  which is next week Wednesday.
