Burglary in Corozal and firearm search in Belize City

On Monday September 1st, at around 2:50 a.m. Corozal Police received the report of a burglary in progress at Alpha Lodge Hall situated on College Road, in Corozal Town. Corozal Police acted quickly and apprehended Rosendo Guy, a man who fit the description given to them. Upon searching Guy, Police discovered a blue box that contained $900 worth of stolen goods. 23 year old Rosendo Guy was apprehended, and after some investigations 20 year old George Lima, an associate of Guy was also brought in to the Police station. The men are both residents of San Andres Village, and both will be charged for burglary.

A joint operation was conducted on Friday August 30th, in Belize City that targeted criminals, drug bases, and possible concealment of firearms and ammunition. The search party comprised of two divisions, the Belmopan and Belize City K9 division, and the Special Branch personnel. The operation resulted in the following findings: 36 year old Rosalie Ogaldes of Allen Pitts Crescent, was discovered with 29.4 grams of cannabis… 28 year old Barbara Ogaldez of Allen Pitts Crescent, was discovered with 103.6 grams of cannabis…  24 year old Steve William Olivera, of Iguana Street was discovered with 36.9  grams of cannabis… AND 59 year old Glenford Jackson of Water Lane, was discovered with 0.7 grams of cannabis. All four individuals were charged with drug possession.
