Normally, such matters would be handled by the Civil and Traffic Court Magistrate Stephanie Gillett across town at Court #8.
But Gallaty’s Toyota Hilux pickup is alleged to have accidentally reversed into the Magistrate’s vehicle while it was parked on the Philip Goldson Highway on March 22, 2014, around Mile 2 1/2.
Because of the conflict of interest, he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer on a summons.
Gallaty claims he was in the area but was not aware an accident took place. Gallaty was allowed to leave without posting bail due to the nature of the complaint and his next court date is June 26.
