Businessman Failed to Pay GST

vlcsnap-2014-04-02-20h18m41s2270 year old businessman Arthur Seawell has been charged for failure to file returns on General Sales Tax for the last three months of 2013 and the first of 2014.  Seawell appeared before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stuart and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The owner of Seawell Seed and Spices on Euphrates Avenue is accused of not filing his returns for the months of October, November and December 2013 and January of 2014 and has previously been convicted of the charge. The minimum fine for the offence is $500. He returns to court on May 13.
