Catholic Bishop begs GOB to appeal

Bishop Dorrick Wright of the Catholic Church also sent a letter to Prime Minster Dean Barrow dated August 15, 2016 in which he urges the Prime Minister, on behalf of the 120,000 people of the Belizean Catholic Church, to appeal the Supreme Court decision. The letter states that it is imperative to appeal because, “In every part of the world where  de-criminalization has been successfully challenged, it has been swiftly followed by the passing of the gay marriage laws that seriously violate a child’s right to a mother and father, restrict freedom of conscience and religion, and impose a draconian gender agenda in the school system.”
