Caye Caulker resident stabbed during fight

Yesterday we told you of the stabbing incident that occurred on Caye Caulker. Police have since issued a report to the media on the incident. According to police, on the morning of Monday,  February 19th m., Caye Caulker Police responded to a report of a fight in the Palapa area. Police say that when they , arrived at the scene, all parties fled, however,  police caught up with a vessel on the Western Side of the Island. On board the vessel was  34 year old Jamal Bennett,  a Belizean laborer of a Caye Caulker. Bennet was suffering from a stab wound  to his abdomen and one to his shoulder. He was escorted  to the Caye Caulker Poly-Clinic where he was treated and later transported to the KHMH. Polcie say that Bennett was involved in a fight with 31 year old Jermaine Grant ,a resident of Caye Caulker Village, when the injury was sustained. Bennett is listed in a stable condition. Police investigation continues.
