Charges for stealing phone

A woman tried to blame her son in court for a phone she stole and now she is in more trouble. 29 year old Tina Herbert appeared before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser where she pleaded not guilty to one count of theft. Herbert was denied bail and remanded into custody until Friday, after she tried to blame her son for stealing the phone. According to reports, the incident took place on Friday at the Alicia’s Fast Food shop on Pitters Street.  Robert Howard Jr., the complainant, told police that he purchased food at the shop and when he left he forgot his phone, valued at $600, on the counter top. The complainant reportedly returned to the shop where Herbert told him that she can get back his phone if he gives her $100 dollars. Herbert told Magistrate Frazer that she gave the phone to a person to unlock and sell.
