Church of the Nazarene calls charges against Pastor Wade “unacceptable”

The Church of the Nazarene  issued a press release this evening saying that it

“….finds the charges made against Pastor Louis Wade Jr. totally unacceptable.”

Those charges, as you may be aware, were made by the son of Minister of Works Rene Montero after Wade was conducting investigations into what appeared to be some shady activities by Ministry of Works following a private contract work. Robert Montero alleged that Pastor Wade cursed him and assaulted him. San Ignacio police, after almost 6 months, levied the charges at Wade.  Wade is a Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene and today’s press release from the Church of the Nazarene says, and we quote

Our institution continually keeps check of its pastors to ensure their right standing with our doctrine and belief of holiness. Pastor Louis Wade Jr. is one of our outstanding pastors who maintains a high level of integrity and commitment, first and foremost to Almighty God. To question his character in the way it is being done and to publish it nationwide is to discredit the Church of the Nazarene.”

The release continues in saying,

We fully support Pastor Wade in his endeavour to stand against unrighteousness, even if it is against leaders that make up our government. We are fully committed to praying for them, but will not condone any questionable act that will undermine our people as a nation. The Bible is very clear on God’s position regarding wrong: (Prov. 14:34) “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people””.

The release ends by saying that the Nazarene Church calls upon authorities to stand on the side of righteousness and make a legitimate investigation into the charges made against Pastor Louis Wade Jr.  and that there is enough recorded evidence that proves his innocence.
