Classes will continue in most schools tomorrow as flood waters continue to recede. There are a few exceptions however. According to the Ministry of Education, in the Corozal District, classes continue in all schools with the exception of Fireburn RC and Chunox St. Viator Vocational High School. There is also a possibility for resumption of classes in Sarteneja Schools tomorrow depending on the completion of repairs to the water system tonight. As soon as information on those repairs is received, information will be shared on whether classes will resume or not. All schools in the Belize District will have classes tomorrow except at Our Lady of the Way RC in Ladyville, Queen Square Upper, St. Mary’s Primary, Diocesan Pre-school, Sr. Clara Mohammed Muslim Primary School, Grace Primary, and Wesley College First Form only. The MOE release says that while classes are resuming in most schools in the affected districts, in considering whether to send their children to school , parents should assess their individual situations and environments as it relates to the safety and well being of their families and children. . They should also stay tuned for media announcements regarding any changes that may occur due to unpredictability of the weather.
