Plus News has been reliably informed that last night, former Area Representative for Lake Independence Cordel Hyde was vetted by the People’s United Party to be a potential candidate for the Lake Independence Constituency.
Sources say Hyde’s is the only name submitted to represent the PUP in that division. Cordel Hyde was a three time area representative for that particular constituency but last general election, with only one month to go before elections, Hyde stepped down and withdrew from the race.
Mark King is the current UDP Area Representative for Lake I.
It was rumored that Anthony Mahler, who was the PUP standard bearer for Caribbean Shores coming into the 2012 election, but had stepped down a few months before the election, would have made a submission for Caribbean shores again. But at the deadline, Kareem Musa was the only PUP candidate.
