Corozal man critical following hit and run

A hit and run in the Corozal District has left one man in a critical condition at the KHMH. Reports are that around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 31 year old Arnando Witz was riding a beach cruiser bicycle in the middle of College Road when he was hit by a Kia Sorento from behind. The driver did not stop tp render aid. After police investigations, both the vehicle and its owner were found in Ranchito Village. According to ACP Myvette, the vehicle has been impounded and the driver is now in police custody under investigation.

ASP.  Joseph Myvette, OC of NCIB:  On Saturday shortly after 8pm, police responded to information of a traffic accident on College Road in Corozal Town, where upon arrival a male person later identified as Armando Witz, 31 year old of Corozal Town was seen lying on the side of the road and beside him was his bicycle which was extensively damaged. According to police investigation, Armando Witz was riding from a west to east direction when he was hit from behind by a vehicle. Police investigation have since led to one Kia Sorrento been impounded since this morning and the owner is in police custody as we speak pending investigation into this traffic accident.
