Lennox “DJ Tambran” Young, owner of the popular Music Depot on North Front Street and also a vehicle dealer, was injured in a traffic accidentvlcsnap-2016-06-08-08h52m50s897 this morning while returning to Belize from Houston, Texas. Young avoided serious injury as did one of his companions, senior police officer Assistant Superintendent Amin August, a coach with the Police United football team; however, a third man who was with them, identified as fellow vehicle dealer Sostenes Tamai, unfortunately died. With more information here is DJ Tambran’s brother, Leroy Young:

Leroy Young, Brother of DJ Tambran: I got a call about 9:30 this morning from Houston that my brother was okay, he only had a vlcsnap-2016-06-08-08h53m06s484broken hand. But the passenger with him Mr. Mai from Corozal died. He went to pick up some parts. They usually go to Houston to buy their vehicles and they pick up their parts when they are coming home, like its the last part of the shopping. When you are coming home, you buy your parts for your vehicles to take back to Belize and while he was buying the parts, I think something came out of nowhere and smack right into his drivers’ side. His passenger Mr. Tamai died unfortunately and my brother sustained a broken hand

Leroy Young also expressed his condolences to the Tamai family of Corozal on the loss of their loved one. Lennox Young is expected back in Belize by Thursday. He has been working as a dealer for between 10 and 12 years.vlcsnap-2016-06-08-08h52m45s290
