29-year-old Kurt Hyde, a Belizean construction worker of Cotton Tree Village, was at this bus stop in Cotton Tree Village on Friday morning waiting on the bus, when he was approached by two men of Cotton Tree Village who took out a knife and stabbed him several times.
Officer in Command of Belmopan Police Supt. Howell Gillett told us more.
“The incident occurred in Friday last, sometime before 6:00 a. m., Kuet Hyde reported that he was within the bus shed within the village of Cotton Tree when he was attacked by two male persons. He was stabbed six times to the back and to the face and in the hands. One person has been charged in the name of Orlando Castillo with Grievous Harm, and we are looking for another person whom we believe, can be of assistance to this investigation; he is Juan Eugene Castillo of Cotton Tree village”.
Reporter Emanuel Pech: “I understand that the person that was stabbed and the person that has been arrested and charged, are from the same village also”.
Supt. Howell Gillett: “Yes, that is correct”.
Kurt Hyde, has since been released from the hospital while Orlando Castillo has been arrested and charged for grievous harm.
