Danny is First Hurricane of 2015 Season
Hurricane Danny is the first hurricane for this 2015 season. It is a category one hurricane but Belize has no need to worry at this time. That’s because the system is still about four days away from reaching the eastern Caribbean if it maintains its speed of 12 MPH and then it is expected to weaken to a tropical storm by next Tuesday as it gets closert o Puerto Rico. However, Belize can’t keep its eye off the storm as there’s still a lot of uncertainty about whether Danny will be able to maintain any intensity through early next week. The storm won’t reach the Leeward Islands for another four days, and a lot can change in the meantime. The two leading global models, the European ECMWF model and the U.S. GFS model, do not agree on Danny’s future — whether it will eventually fizzle out or intensify.
