Two years ago, Placencia police were investigating a case of sexual abuse of young boys, allegedly at the hands of a volunteer tutor Dave Taylor. Child pornography was allegedly found on the accused man’s laptop and he was eventually charged.
Tomorrow, Wednesday November 12, his case goes to court in Independence beginning at 9 a.m.
Plusnews also understands that earlier today police were handing out court letters in the community of Succotz. The defendant summons were handed out to about 20 persons from Succotz and at least on from Benque, for participating in the highway block that took place in Succotz back in August of this year.
The villagers had blocked the highway demanding that Deputy Commissioner Miguel Segura be charged after he killed a woman in a traffic accident, while driving with alcohol levels above the prescribed limit.
We understand that the persons are to be charged with rioting and are to appear at the Benque Viejo Court on Thursday November 13th at 9 am.
