A video circulating on social media has garnered much attention. It is a video showing disgruntled football fans at the gate of the FFB stadium in Belmopan during the second leg of a match between Verdes FC and the Belmopan Bandits for the Premier League of Belize. Fans could be seen demanding that their monies be reimbursement after they had paid for a game that was not played. That’s because a few minutes after the time of the scheduled match the game was put off by the League Commissioner. We hear more from General of the Premier league of Belize PLB Wilhelm Miguel.
Wilhelm Miguel, General Manager PLB: Well the information that we have so far is basically that both teams came to play, and one team had the situation with their roaster and based on the roaster they said that their players were not included on it and because of that they refused to play. That is the information that we have so far and basically there is not much more to be said that the game did not play due to the fact that one club is saying that their list of players was not on the roaster.
