DJ Busch charged in brutal beating of friend at wake

Popular disc jockey James “DJ Busch” Busch has been charged with dangerous harm after apparently assaulting a good friend at a wake for a late mutual friend of theirs, Ian Blair. According to 35 year old Marlon Chavez, on January 29, the man he considered to be as close to him as a brother left him in a bad way. He spoke to our court reporter on Wednesday:Busch appeared before Magistrate Deborah Rogers and no plea was taken as the case will be tried at the Supreme Court if sufficient evidence exists to move it forward. In court, Busch denied intentionally causing harm to Chavez, stating, quote, “It was a simple fight between two friends. We were just fighting. It was not intentional. I just got the better part of the fight…” Busch met bail of six thousand dollars set on the condition that he stay 100 yards away from any of the prosecution’s witnesses and he must also report to the Ladyville Police Station once a week, on Wednesday, beginning next week Wednesday, February 24. He is due back in court on April 22. But Chavez’s ordeal is not over. He told us that must undergo costly surgery for his injuries: Chavez said that he can only barely speak like before his beating; is reduced to liquid intake, and cannot even smile or open his mouth because it brings up blood due to his internal facial injuries. Busch was allegedly intoxicated and has stayed away from Chavez ever since, until they met in court today. He still has no explanation other than what Busch said today as to why he got beaten up.
