Drowned man may have had asthma attack

Yesterday we told you about the drowning of  37 year old David Alamilla who was on a boat headed to St. George’s Caye when tragedy struck. Today, police updated on their investigation into that case.

Wilfredo Ferrufino, Police NCIB: On the 1st of August, sometime around 1:30pm, police were called out to Dolpin Park. We were notified by Coast Guard personnel that they were in search of an individual who had sub-merged in the water somewhere near to Moho Caye. They had discovered or had retrieved the body of a male and had transported him to the Dolphin Park. Police arrived at the scene and saw the body of a person who was identified to be that of David Alamia, a 37 year old of Belama. He was motionless and lifeless.

The body was retrieved and police say there were no signs of violence on the body. They await a post mortem examination result.
