Drug bust on Norwegian huge; almost half a million dollars worth of cocaine

Yesterday , Plus news broke the story of the huge drug bust aboard the Norwegian Cruise and the subsequent arrest of three cruise ship workers by Belize Police. The police have finally released official information on the matter, confirming our story. According to the police report, on Tuesday 13th June about 8:45a.m., Placencia Police were called to Norwegian Escape Cruise Ship that was docked at Harvest Caye.  Security Officers reported that they found suspected drugs in a cabin on the ship occupied by Derson Frank, a 30 year old from St. Vincent. Frank was escorted to his cabin where a search conducted by Police yielded 2 kilos of cocaine. During the investigation, it was revealed that two other men were involved. They were identified as Renaldo Kerron Roberts of St. Vincent and Jamal Nathus Celise of St. Lucia.  Each package was weighed amounting to 1.065kg.  All three men were charged with (2) Counts of Drug Trafficking Jointly and are presently remanded to KOLBE Prison. 2 Kilos of cocaine is considered a huge drug bust as its street value is estimated at approximately half a million dollars.vlcsnap-00047 vlcsnap-00048 vlcsnap-00049
