Fatal traffic accident claims one life

There was a fatal road traffic accident on Sunday night in the north. It apparently was caused due to two tires being blown out.  It happened between miles 73 and 74 on the Phillip Goldson highway where a Red Isuzu Rodeo SUV was being driven with 6 persons inside.  One person died as a result while the two other males and three females received varied degrees of injuries.  The family of 6 was travelling from Chetumal to Orange Walk Town when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle flipped several times in the bushes on the left hand side of the road. 61 year old Belizean Cane Farmer of Trial Farm Village, Graciano Uh, died on the spot after his body was flung some 3 feet away from the vehicle.
