Fire leaves family of 8 homeless

There was another house fire in Belize city last night. It happened sometime around 9 at house No.26 at the Corner of Curassow and Gibnut Street.  A plycem house measuring 15 feet by 20 feet which was occupied by Monique Dawson, and seven other family members, was totally destroyed by the flames.

Police update about information of a fire at the corner of Curossow and Gibnut Street. Upon their arrival  they saw a place, measuring 15 by 20 elevated 3′ off the ground, engulfed in fire. The fire department were called in and they managed to out the fire but by that time the house was totally destroyed. The value of the content is unknown at this moment. There is no foul play suspected up to now in regards to this fire.

Sir, residents on the scene said that no one was inside the house when the fire erupted so was the suspecting arson?

Yes we understand that there was nobody in the building. However the fire department personnel are stating that there was nothing to indicate if it is an arson. I know they will be on the ground this morning making checks to see what they can ascertain from the remains. 

The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained and the value of the damages is unknown. Police investigation continue.
