First Belize City Shooting in 2 weeks

Community Policing has been credited as one of the major contributors to the cease fire in Belize City over the past two weeks. Sadly, the two weeks break of gun violence in the old capital was disrupted yesterday evening. Reports are that around 4:30 yesterday, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw,  21 year old Dean Nembhard of Belize City suffering from 2 apparent gunshot wounds to the right side of the abdomen and 1 abrasion to his left arm. Police investigation has so far revealed that Nembhard was shot while he was walking in the area of CET Site by a male person. Nembhard appeared in the news in December when he was shot in the hand while allegedly trying to pull off an armed robbery at Monica’s Pawn shop.
