Fisherman charged with undersized conch

Thirty-two year old Raymond Myers, a fish vendor of Conch Shell Bay, was fined a total of $9,020 today by Magistrate Carlon Mendoza after he pleaded guilty to possession 444 undersized conch. He was given until July 29, 2016 to pay. if he defaults on payment he will serve 3 months. About 7:30 this morning the police, members of the Gang Suppresion Unit (GSU), went to Myers’ house, located at 34 A West Collet Canal Street, to search for firearm and drugs. The search resulted in the discovery of the conch in an ice box. An officer from the Fisheries Department was called in and Myers was charged.vlcsnap-2016-03-17-09h47m02s917
