Forestry Department Confiscates 32 Pieces of Pine Lumber

vlcsnap-2014-06-10-18h19m08s157Three men from Carmelita Village, Orange Walk, were arraigned yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court in Orange Walk Town for illegal logging and unlawful wild life possession.

The three men in question are Wayne Adolfus, Herbert Reynolds and Anthony Rayburn, all residents of Carmelita Village.

According to reports the men were busted as a result of  a search operation lead by the Department of Forestry with assistance from Police.

Forestry Officers say that a total of 32 pine lumber logs were counted.

Each measured between 6 to 15 feet in length.

Also in their possession were 2 blue necked parrot chicks. The three men were charged at Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court for unlawful possession of Forest Produce and illegal hunting.
