Four city men have been charged in connection with a murder/robbery that occurred last week Friday. On Wednesday, 21-year-old Alton Bailey, along with Roger Hernandez, and 25-year-old Roger Concepcion Middleton, were jointly charge with the murder of Jorge Blanco. The men appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith unrepresented where the charge was read to them and no plea taken due to the nature of the offense. They were all remanded to the Belize Central Prison until December 16, 2013. Additional charge with robbery and other offenses was Frank Elijio. Mr Elijio was also unrepresented; he was read three charges with handling stolen goods on October 26, 2013, and conspiracy to commit robbery on Friday October 25, 2013, and one count of drug trafficking for allegedly having in his possession on October 26m 2013, 61.1 grams of cannabis. Frank Elijio pleaded not guilty to all charges and bail was objected to by the prosecutor due to the prevalence of the crime, serious nature of the crime and because the charges stem from the murder of Jorge Blanco. Frank Elijio was remanded to prison until December 16. Allegations are that on October 25, he conspire with others to rob Johann Penner of $9.600. Only a portion of the stolen money was found with Frank Elijio he next day after the murder.
